  • E. Culpepper Clark, former dean of the College of Communication and Information Sciences, published a book through UA’s Press titled The Schoolhouse Door in 2007.
  • 2004 Faculty senate resolution acknowledging and apologizing for history of slavery at UA
  • Dr. John Giggie, director of the Summersell Center, working with UA students and the Tuscaloosa Civil Rights History Talk Force, published a Tuscaloosa Civil Rights Trail Book.
