The organization’s founding principles are to share the cultures and traditions of India with domestic friends, guide future Indians arriving at UA through some of the changes that they might experience, ensure that Indian students do not get culturally lost in the U.S., preserve a sense of being “at home,” and share a feeling of kinship.

This group celebrates the cultural, religious and linguistic diversity of south Asia and seeks to raise awareness of south Asian cultures at The University of Alabama. South Asia includes, but is not limited, to the nations of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
